We are delighted to announce the release of DHTMLX JavaPlanner 1.1. The updated version of the web control provides touch screen functionality that enhances user interaction experiences of the product.
The calendar control UI is optimized for all iOS and Android devices, and also for Windows 8-based touch screens, including tablets and touch-screen monitors. It can also work on the latest smartphones (for example, BlackBerry or Symbian) but the screen space can be too small to navigate with ease.
JavaPlanner has a built-in touch support that is particularly convenient to use in an event calendar with a terrace skin. Its finger-friendly design allows you to easily add and manage calendar events by a double tap. You can drag-and-drop the calendar event boxes and quickly navigate between the available views. Swipe action lets you switch the calendar view to the next or previous time span.
All JavaPlanner features are accessible from touch screen devices. Besides, the update includes a special extension for touch screens called “Quick Infoâ€. The conventional sidebar menu on the left of the event boxes have been replaced with bigger and easy-to-touch buttons. They simplify the update of the information contained in the details form. When you double tap an event to display the details, an edit form with “Details†and “Delete†buttons pops up. The buttons can be customized depending on your application needs.
This update has also extended the language support with Belarusian, Romanian and Slovak languages.
